Our middle schoolers are home from their week attending Junior High Jubilee at Mo-Ranch. They floated down the river, braved the Mo Slide and the ropes course, met new friends, did plenty of energizers, and spent time in keynote, worship, and in small groups discussing our theme of being certain in the uncertainty. "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze."
Our high schoolers are headed home from a fun and inspiring week at Mo-Ranch Youth Celebration and they are ready to spread God's radical love to the world!

This if the final post for our week of VBS. The video shows the children singing at their opening assembly. As you can see they were so excited that they even made it into the aisles. Today was the last day of a very successful week of Workshop of Wonders. All week the children learned about ways to work with God. They learned to Imagine with God, Grow with God, Walk with God, Build with God and Work with God. In yesterday's post I told you about the Mission project for this year. We are working with Villages in Partnership to raise money to buy goats for families in Malawi. Well our children raised $1650 which means Villages in Partnership will be able to buy 33 goats to help families in Malawi. As the children would say "WOW"!. A big thank you goes out to all of our volunteers, CCPC staff and the children who attended this week.
Check out the video of today's assembly at VBS. Pastor Andy shows the children how many goats they will be able to buy with the money they have raised. The Mission project this year for VBS is to raise money to buy as many goats as they can for families in Malawi. After yesterday's collection the children had donated enough money to buy 9 goats. After today they are up to 15 goats. If you have a child attending VBS be sure to send their offering tomorrow as this is the last day. All parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors of preschool through grade 5 are invited to our closing ceremony in the Sanctuary at 11:30 am. You will get to meet Sandy Paper and Rivet and hear some of the songs that your children have been learning all week. A few quotes from the children who have attended this week when asked about VBS are: "Most fun Vacation Bible School and we don't want it to end"; "My favorite part of VBS has been recreation time and visiting the garden" and finally, "I LOVE the singing and dancing!" Sounds like it has been a very successful week!
Watch this video to get a preview of the Children's Choir Musical "Life of the Party - Mary and Martha's Story" which will be performed at the 11:05 Service on May 4. This video is a brief part of the children's first rehearsal. Enjoy and make your calendars for May 4!
